Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Chemistry and Toxicology Departments have found the Microtox® technology useful over the years to perform studies and do research.
Treatment plant pilot studies
Biocide comparative studies
Stormwater/Runoff
AnalysisStream Testing
Sediment Analysis
River Testing
Oil Spill Analysis
Ecotoxicity Studies
Trace metals speciation studies
Bench-top heavy metals analysis
Metal removals system pilot studies
The rapid toxicity analysis is preferred over the traditional bioassay testing for both savings of time and costs. The traditional test using live species requires a large space for tanks to maintain the species and is not always a valid option for research or academic labs. Using Microtox® offers results in 30-40 minutes using a freeze dried bacteria and requires a small area on the bench top. Microtox® provides high correlation with traditional bioassays and high reproducibility. Over 700 peer reviewed papers are available from research and academic facilities.
